A FORMER fish and chip shop in Bridgwater could be converted to a new dog groomers under plans submitted to Somerset Council.

Groom Central- Dog Grooming has applied to change the use of the ground floor shop premises at 1 Grenville House, Rhode Lane to a dog grooming business.

The previous tenants at the premises was Robins Takeaway.

The applicant has also applied to a vinyl business advertisement sign fixed above the existing security roller-shutter of shop premises (08/24/00014).

If plans are approved, the premises would retain the existing bench and counter, but install two new work stands to accommodate for two dogs at a time, as well as a new large 'dog bath' over the existing drain at the back of the store, and a toilet.
