A LARGER kiosk has been approved on Swanage seafront for the boat hire and water taxi business.
The structure, planned for a site between the Stone Quay and Monkey Beach, has been approved by Dorset Council's planning team.
Operator Stephen Hill says the kiosk is only slightly larger than the one which has been in use until now – partly to accommodate further safety equipment – and to be used between now and November.
The wooden building will have a hatch on one side and small window on the other.
Swanage Town Council raised no objection to the proposal and Dorset Council's Conservation Officer took a similar stance, but said it was expected that the building would be removed during the winter months.
