THE much anticipated Pride-on-Sea festival is set to return this year after a successful first edition in 2023.

This year's Pride event in Burnham-on-Sea will be held on Saturday, July 27, at Manor Gardens.

Live bands including The Boot Hill All Stars will be performing, alongside drag queens including Aida the Storytime Drag Queen.

There will also be food stalls, a varied market filled with local businesses, community groups and charities, kids’ activities, a library, and a fully stocked bar

Prior to the festival itself, a Pride march from Highbridge & Burnham Railway Station will take place.

The day's proceedings will be finished off with an after party at the Victoria Hotel, hosted by Ryder Emcee.

Ahead of this year's Pride-on-Sea, here's everything you need to know.

Everything you need to know for Pride-on-Sea 2024

Pride March:

  • Time: 10:30am until 12pm 
  • Starting Point: Highbridge & Burnham Railway Station
  • Assisted by: Our friends from Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea Carnival

The Pride march will follow the normal route from Highbridge to Burnham-on-Sea, spreading joy and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community.

Manor Gardens Festival:

  • Time: 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM
  • Location: Manor Gardens

 Official Afterparty:

  • Location: Victoria Hotel
  • Highlights: Hosted by Ryder Emcee (Leyline Record), Steve M (An X-Ception).

Pride-on-Sea is also seeking sponsorship from local businesses to support the event.

A spokesperson said: "Show your support with your logos featured on our social media platforms and banners.

"Customised sponsorship packages are available to suit every budget."

A CrowdFunder page has been set up to make it easy for everyone to support the festival, which has already received over £100 in donations.
