A rugby club in the Burnham and Highbridge area has secured a new sponsorship deal.

Burnham-on-Sea Rugby Club has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with family holiday company Unity Holidays.

The company, which operates three parks across the UK, including Unity Beach in Brean, will sponsor the club’s senior, colts, junior, and minis teams.

Jonny Green, resort director at Unity Beach, said: "Burnham-on-Sea Rugby Club sits at the heart of the local community, bringing together players, families, and supporters of all ages.

"The resort has a long-standing relationship with the club, with many of our own team members, past and present, playing for them or volunteering there.

"We’re thrilled to be backing the club’s ambitions on and off the field and to play a small part in helping rugby thrive in our area, and we are delighted to join other local businesses as a premium sponsor and look forward to cheering the teams on, both on and off the pitch, over the coming seasons."

Burnham’s BASC Ground on Stoddens Road is now adorned with Unity Holidays branding.

Following a recent visit from the Unity Beach team, the Burnham's first XV delivered a dominant 52-7 victory over Rebels RFC.
