Preparations are under way for Pride-on-Sea 2026, with a programme of events set to bring people together across Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge this September.
The free community celebration featuring a parade, performances and family activities is returning to the Somerset coast.
The countdown to Pride-on-Sea 2026 will begin with a special service at St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-on-Sea on Monday, September 7.

The free event, which starts at 7pm, will include readings, music and moments of reflection to mark the beginning of Pride week and recognise the LGBTQIA+ community across Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge.
Pride-on-Sea itself will take place on Saturday, September 12.
Participants will gather at Highbridge Train Station from 10.30am, before the parade sets off at 10.50am.
Organisers said there will also be pick-up points at Apex Park and on the Esplanade, allowing people to join the route at a point that is most accessible to them.
The main celebration will then be held at Manor Gardens, with stalls, live music, performers and family-friendly activities planned.
Local groups, charities, makers and businesses are expected to take part, while food and drink vendors and 'sensory-friendly' spaces will also be available.
The event is free to attend and unticketed, and open to the whole community.
"Pride isn’t just a celebration, it’s a reminder that inclusion matters" (Image: Pride on Sea)
A spokesperson for Pride-on-Sea said: “Pride-on-Sea is built by local people who care deeply about creating a safe, visible space for our LGBTQIA+ community.
“We’re a small team doing this alongside work and family life, but we know how important it is for people here to have somewhere they can show up as themselves.
"Pride isn’t just a celebration, it’s a reminder that inclusion matters, and that our towns are stronger when everyone feels welcome.”
Pride-on-Sea is organised entirely by volunteers, who are fundraising online to cover essential costs including security, first aid, staging and accessibility measures.
The spokesperson added: “We’re looking forward to seeing residents, families, allies, and visitors join us again this year.
The support we receive from the community is what keeps Pride-on-Sea going.”
