A SERIES of of films featuring Burnham in the 1930s and 50s will be showcased tonight from 7pm.
Debbie Richardson from the Engine Room will be showing the movies at the King Alfred School lecure theatre in Highbridge.
The films include:
* The British Legion parade before the Duke and Duchess of York (aka Queen Mother and King George) at Wells.
* The Queen arriving at Highbridge Station for the opening of the Radio Station.
* Local children exploring the Heinkel Fighter Plane which crash landed on Burnham Beach.
* Bridgwater Illuminated, by torches, Carnival from 1933.
* The Brent Knoll horse races.
* A parade of the first US Troops in Burnham
* East Brent Harvest Home 1934
* Marine Gardens in colour – 1937
