SEDGEMOOR District Council is one of a group of local authorities hoping to set up a New Nuclear Local Authority Group to investigate the pros and cons of nuclear power more thoroughly.
The group has applied for backing from the Local Government Association for the scheme after Hinkley Point was identified as a site for a new nuclear power plant.
