BURNHAM-on-Sea MP James Heappey is calling on residents in Burnham, Highbridge, Brean and Berrow to apply for funding through the Coastal Communities Fund.
A share of the £40million fund aims to support the economic development of coastal communities by awarding grants for sustainable growth and additional jobs.
The fund has been running since 2012 and aims to help drive economic authority in coastal communities that have struggled to maintain economic growth.
The money is available for investment in jobs, skills and local businesses.
Back in 2015, Burnham and Highbridge Town Council secured thousands of pounds worth of funding and Mr Heappey is hoping for the same success this time around.
Mr Heappey said: “This is a great opportunity for the coastal communities in Somerset.
“This money could boost the local economy and help drive both external visitor numbers and inward investment.”
Applications must be received by April 30 and enquiries can be made by emailing coastalcommunitiesfund@communities.gsi.gov.uk
