Dragons Den star Deborah Meaden has made her feelings clear following yesterday’s Covid rule changes.

During an address to the commons and a Downing Street press conference, Boris Johnson set out his “Living with Covid” plan saying the country would be moving from "Government restrictions to personal responsibility".

Starting from Thursday (February 24), the plan includes bringing an end to the legal requirement to self-isolate following a positive test and to routine contact tracing.

Last month, Plan B measures designed to slow the spread of Omicron, such as the requirement to wear masks in public places were abolished in England.

In opposition to the removal of certain safeguards, the Somerset-based multi-millionaire took to Twitter to tell fans why she would still be wearing a mask when out and about.

Sharing a selfie, the 63-year-old animal-lover sported a black mask with a cat on it, alongside the caption: “Me going about my business today and every day until I hear a Science based argument on why wearing a mask is no longer needed to protect those more vulnerable than me…#wearamask”

When one commenter asked her to respect others' choices, the World Wildlife Fund ambassador replied: "I do… but it’s hard when my sister with MS who is confident, Independant, Aline and in a wheelchair is advised not to go out because she is highly immune suppressed. I see the personal cost and wearing a mask seems such a small thing to do to help."

So, it seems when it comes to abandoning Covid precautions, this Dragon is definitely out.
