AVON and Somerset Police have posted video footage of a shocking overtaking incident.
A car driver on one of the roads in the force was fortunate to avoid a serious accident after crossing a double white line to pass a cyclist.
The car driver, who ignored a 'Slow' sign on the road surface, narrowly avoided crashing into an oncoming lorry.
The cyclist captured the dangerous manouvre on his helmet camera and passed it on to police.
The cyclist can be heard screaming at the offending driver.
The car driver was prosecuted and the footage was shown in court.
The driver was handed nine penalty points and a £660 fine, along with a £66 victim surcharge and £110 costs.
One of the worst #closepass reports we've received.
