A TERRIER couldn't resist it when he spotted some squirrels in the trees in a park at the weekend.
Jack Russell Duke chased one of them up a tree in a park - and got stuck.
Firefighters were sent to the rescue following the incident in Ashcombe Park, Weston-super-Mare at lunchtime yesterday (Sunday, November 28).
One of the firefighters clambered up an extension ladder, grabbed hold of the intrepid pooch and carried him to safety.
Duke back with his owner on terra firma after his rescue.
A tweet on Weston-super-Mare Fire Station's Twitter account said: "Today (Sunday) Green Watch turned into animal rescue heroes when they were called to rescue Duke the Jack Russell from a tree, after he got stuck chasing squirrels!"
