POLICE have renewed their appeal to identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault a nightclub.

They have re-released a CCTV image of the the man who officers believe could have information about the incident in Bridgwater.

The attack took place in The Palace club, in Penel Orlieu, at around 1am on Saturday, December 4.

The man police wish to speak to is described as white, 6ft tall, in his early 20s, clean shaven, with short, black hair.

He was wearing a white hooded top with a coloured motif, a dark sleeveless gilt and dark jeans.

A spokesperson for Sedgemoor and Hinkley Point Neighbourhood Policing team said: "We are still looking to confirm the identity of the chap.

"If you know who he is, please contact PC 750 Coleman on 07889 654829 quoting reference number 5221284734."

Avon and Somerset Police previously issued an appeal to identify the man and another man in the days before Christmas.

A spokesperson said that a 25-year-old clubber sustained facial and head injuries and needed hospital treatment after a bottle was smashed over his head.
