WESTON-super-Mare Rugby Club have cancelled this weekend's fixture due to an outbreak of Covid in the senior squad.
The team had been due to travel to Launceston for a Tribute South West Premier League match on Saturday (January 29).
A Weston spokesperson said: "The postponement was confirmed after the South West Competitions Committee was advised after several positive Covid tests have been reported within Weston-superMare RFC's senior squad.
"At the centre of everything is player welfare, and those who have tested positive and their close contacts have isolated and will be assessed according to the agreed guidelines."
The South West Competitions Committee will confirm a new date.
Weston Athletic’s Tribute Somerset 2 North at home to Hornets 3rdXV this evening (Friday, January 28) kicking off at 7.30 pm, and Weston United's home Tribute Somerset Premier match against Avon at 2.30pm will both go ahead.
