HIGHBRIDGE Town are still without a point in the Taunton and District Saturday League after being thumped 9-1 at Sampford Blues.

The Division One side were comprehensively beaten at the weekend and have lost all eight league games so far this season.

Wayne Hand scored a consolation goal for the side that finished third in the same division last campaign.

Highbridge are in Somerset Junior Cup action this weekend as they entertain Full Moon at the Recreation Ground.

The reserve side also conceded nine as they were victims of a giant killing in the Seward Memorial Cup.

They were beaten 9-0 at home by Woolavington, who play two tiers below in Division Five.

Back in Division One, Predators had their game at Bishops Lydeard Reserves postponed.

They are due to play at SRL Allsaints this Saturday (November 10).
