BERROW are back in action for the first time since December 17 tomorrow, as they entertain Chilcompton Sports in the Somerset County Premier (ko noon).
Chilcompton sit 10th in the standings, whereas Berrow are 14th, having lost their last match 1-0 to Middlezoy Rovers.
Also on New Year’s Eve, in Somerset County Division 1W, Burnham United – who were beaten 3-1 at Somerton Town on Christmas Eve – host Winscombe (ko 2pm).
This is the first meeting of the season between the two sides (the reverse fixture is in April), but Winscombe look to bring a real threat to Cassis Close, as they sit fourth in the table to Burnham’s eighth place.
Highbridge Town, having not played last weekend (their match with AFC Minehead was called off), face Division 1W leaders Portishead Town at home (ko 2pm).
Portishead have won 10 of their 11 league matches this season.
Burnham United Reserves have this weekend off – they return to action next Saturday, January 7, at home to 1610 Taunton United in the Division 2 Cup.
United Reserves were beaten 4-0 at home by Somerset Division 2W leaders Weston St John last Saturday.
There was happier news for Burnham United Vets (over-35s), who won 4-2 against Berrow Vets on Boxing Day.
