AVENUE Tennis Club, in Burnham-on-Sea, has partnered with Performance Plus Sport (PPS) to provide a Community Progression Programme, providing two hours of funded tennis per week in three six-week blocks through the 2018-19 school year.

The goal is to support young local children and create opportunities for regular tennis at Avenue Tennis Club, managed by tennis club manager Barry Ramsden, with the coaching provided by the club’s qualified coaches on a Monday (5-6pm) and Tuesday (6-7pm).

The coaching is free of charge to the players.

The first two courses started on November 12-13, with youngsters who have shown an interest in tennis invited from several local schools and the LTA for Kids 2018 courses held at Avenue throughout this year.

If you think your child would be interested in attending the second six-week block of tennis coaching course, please contact Ramsden via 01278 782758/07749 878581, visit avenuetennis.com or look on the Facebook page for more details.

Performance Plus Sport is a charity founded and run by father and son, John and James Feaver, both of whom were professional tennis players with strong links to Avenue.
