BURNHAM-ON-SEA face a tough test this weekend as they travel to second-placed Nailsea & Backwell.
Last Friday night's 20-13 victory over Weston-super-Mare 2nds lifted Burnham to fifth and captain Ross McKechan is confident they can show what they are made of on Saturday.
McKechan said: "That is the end of the table we want to be at, so it is a chance for us to show that we can compete with the top teams.
"I was pleased with how we fronted up against Weston in a physical game and we will need more of the same on Saturday."
Burnham-on-Sea 2nds are due to host Bridgwater & Albion 3rds in Somerset 2 South, though the visitors have at times struggled to put together a side so far this season.
