ENGLAND international Ben Moon has been passing on his wisdom to potential stars of tomorrow as part of his coaching role at Wellington School.

Rugby players at Wellington welcomed Moon back to school following the Autumn Internationals, in which the prop played against South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia.

Moon played a key role in England’s successful campaign, which saw them win three and lose one of their four matches.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Ali Hepher said: “Ben has been one of the best props in the Premiership for a long time.

“It says to everyone that if you perform well over a longer period you might get your opportunity.”

Alastair Anderson, deputy headmaster at Wellington School, said: “Ben coaches with us for four hours each week, and has helped all squads from Year 7 upwards.

“The 1st XV have been particularly keen to learn from his experience.

“A man with a modest outlook and a terrific work ethic, we are very lucky to have him on board.”

Moon was back on Exeter Chiefs duty on Saturday but couldn’t prevent his side losing 27-19 at home to Gloucester in the European Champions Cup.
