CHAMPIONS League winners and FA Cup final goalscorers will be coming to Taunton on April 7 to play for the Manchester United Legends.

They will be taking on a Taunton Town Legends side, whose squad was announced last week, in a special match at the Viridor Stadium.

We have two pairs of tickets to give away - pick up this Thursday's County Gazette for your chance to win.

The Manchester United Legends side is as follows:

Arthur Albiston - The Edinburgh-born left-back made 379 appearances for United, scoring six goals. He was also capped 14 times by Scotland.

Russell Beardsmore - One of the first wave of 'Fergie's Fledglings', Beardsmore starred in a 3-1 win over Liverpool on New Year's Day 1989 in just his second appearance.

Went on to score four goals in 56 appearances for the club.

Derek Brazil - Spotted by Eric Harrison, Brazil was given a three and a half year contract by Ron Atkinson in 1986 but made just two league appearances.

Wes Brown - The two-time Champions League winner was a regular feature in United's back four during a hugely successful era.

Brown also won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and was named in the 2000/01 PFA Premier League team of the year. Was part of England's 2002 World Cup squad.

Chris Casper - The 'Class of 92' graduate captained England at youth level but couldn't hold down a regular place at United.

Went on to play for Reading before a broken leg ended his playing career aged 24 - went on to manage Bury between 2005 and 2008.

Michael Clegg - The defender was part of the FA Youth Cup winning side of 1995 and made nine appearances for the club. Played four times in the title-winning season of 1996/97 - not quite enough to earn a medal.

Nick Culkin - The goalkeeper holds the record for shortest ever Premier League debut after coming on in the closing stages for Raimond van der Gouw against Arsenal in 1999 - the referee blew for full-time immediately after Culkin took the resultant free-kick.

Chris Eagles - The youngest of the legends side, 33-year-old Eagles replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in a League Cup tie in 2004 and played six times for the club in the Premier League.

Went on to represent Burnley and Bolton Wanderers with distinction and is currently without a club after leaving Ross County last summer.

Keith Gillespie - The Northern Ireland international was unfortunate to be caught between two fine right-wingers in his spell at Old Trafford, with Andrei Kanchelskis and David Beckham often preferred in the role.

Gillespie made nine league appearances for the Red Devils but went on to star in Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United entertainers and also played for Leicester City and Sheffield United.

Deiniol Graham - Scored in an FA Cup third round replay against QPR but a broken arm disrupted his progress and he was sold to Barnsley.

Lee Martin - Best known for scoring the winner in the 1990 FA Cup final replay after playing 32 games during that season. Wasn't quite such a regular as the years progressed but made 73 league appearances before moving to Celtic.

Sammy McIlroy - The midfielder was Matt Busby's final signing in 1969 and went on to spend a decade at Old Trafford, scoring 71 goals in 419 appearances in all competitions.

One of those goals was the equaliser in the 1978 FA Cup final against Arsenal as United came back from 2-0 down only for Alan Sunderland to score a dramatic late winner.

Frank Stapleton - The Irish frontman cost United £900,000 when he signed from Arsenal in 1981 and helped his new club win the FA Cup in 1983 and 1985.

Scored 78 goals in 365 appearances before moving to Ajax in 1987.

Ben Thornley - Described by Nobby Stiles as "the closest I’ve seen to George Best in all my time at the club", Thornley made his debut aged 18 and looked set for a bright career.

That was until, just two months later, he suffered knee ligament damage after a bad tackle in a reserve match against Blackburn Rovers - he later secured compensation for loss of earnings and never truly recovered, making nine league appearances before moving to Huddersfield Town in 1998.

Danny Webber - The frontman was prolific at youth level but first-team opportunities were limited to occasional cup games, though he did appear off the bench in a Champions League tie against Deportivo in 2003.

Went on to play for Watford, Sheffield United and Leeds United, among others.

Tickets for the match, which kicks off at 2pm, will be available to buy at Taunton Town's next home game against Met Police on April 6.
