CRAIG Overton will join his Somerset teammate Jack Leach in the England XI taking on Australia in the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford, which begins on Wednesday.

Overton, who played in the 2017/18 Ashes series down under, replaces Chris Woakes in the only change to the side which won by one wicket in the third Test at Headingley.

This will be Overton's fourth Test cap - he has taken seven Test wickets at 42.28 in his three Tests to date, the first of which was Steve Smith during the Adelaide Test in December 2017.

With Jos Buttler also included, it means three of the England XI are from either Somerset or Devon, with all three Somerset Academy graduates.

Joe Denly will move to the top of the order for England and swap places with Jason Roy, who will bat at four.
