NATIONAL 2 South’s Westcountry heavyweights resume hostilities on Saturday as Taunton Titans host Redruth at the Towergate Stadium (3pm).

Both recorded opening day victories last weekend and Titans head coach Tony Yapp is expecting a sterner test than was offered by Bournemouth.

“We know what to expect from Redruth, they are always tight games,” he said.

“Redruth always bring good support, which is great, so hopefully our own fans will turn out in force and there will be a big crowd to cheer on the boys.

“We have other local games against Dings and Clifton but this one feels like the biggest locally, as it is Redruth’s closest match.

“We have to turn up with the right mindset and play the game, not the occasion.”

The Titans welcome back Lewis Webb, who has replaced the unavailable Aron Struminski in the squad.

“There were a few unfamiliar faces for the fans to see last Saturday but they all played well,” Yapp said.

“Saturday will be a tough, physical game between two confident teams and we are looking forward to it.”
