HANNAH Taunton is going for gold this Sunday, as she competes in the T20 1500m final at the World Para Athletics Championship in Dubai.
The race begins at 5.51am UK time and is set to be shown live on Channel 4.
The 28-year-old, who represents Taunton AC and Running Forever, is a popular and well-known figure on the local running circuit.
This is her first time representing Great Britain, but she has competed as an elite runner in the Great North Run.
She has a personal best of 4 minutes 39.36 seconds, which currently ranks her third in the world rankings in the T20 category, which is for athletes with an intellectual impairment.
