Gems 54, Trident 47
GALMINGTON Trident made a flying start to their game away to Sydenham Gems in Bridgwater on Sunday, as they established a five-goal lead early on.
The hosts fought back, though, and led 18-13 at the end of the first quarter.
Trident came out strong again in the second quarter and put a lot of pressure on Gems’ attack, levelling things up at 27-27 at half-time.
The third quarter saw the momentum swing back in the Sydenham side’s direction again, as they ended it leading 43-35.
Trident continued to battle, but Gems were able to finish strongly to win by a seven-goal margin.
