Albion have offered new deals to six of their under-23 players.

But how much do you know about them?

All six are 19 years old with the exception of Warren O’Hora, who is 21.

But they have taken a variety of routes to get this far.

ADAM DESBOIS

Goalkeeper. The former England under-17s squad member joined from Reading last summer. He was on loan at Hartley Wintney before that and was their young player of the year.

WARREN O'HORA

The Argus:

A commanding centre-back from Dublin who made 11 senior league appearances for his local side Bohemians after progressing through the youth set-up.

He told The Argus after scoring at Southend in the Leasings.com trophy: “I was asked to come on trial to Brighton and I was really interested.

“I came over, had a look at the facilities, trained and loved it. From there, I was offered a contract and I couldn’t say no. It was something I always wanted to do.

“I moved over when I was just turned 18. With the Irish boys like Az (Connolly), Dessie Hutchinson and Jay Molumby here, it was a no-brainer really.

“I had people to help me settle in and the club is a great club.”

KIPRAS KAZUKOLOVAS

Fans will have seen little of this Lithuanian central defender, even though he joined the club almost three years ago now. His time with the Seagulls has been badly affected by injury but he was highly thought of in the under-18s and can also operate as a defensive central midfielder.

ROMERIC YAPI

An exciting right-back who joined the club on deadline day last August having come through the Paris St Germain ranks.

He got better as the 2019-20 season went on and offered an attacking outlet out wide.

Simon Rusk said on his arrival: “He is another player the club has been aware for a period of time. He is a versatile player and is comfortable at right-back, on the right wing or as a wing-back.”

Yapi originally arrived on a one-year deal with the option of a one-year extension. He went on as sub in the Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa

RYAN LONGMAN

A powerful forward from Redhill who can play out wide or as a lone striker and first caught Albion’s eyes when playing in a tournament at Waterhall as a ten-year-old.

Much more recently, he attracted attention with a brilliant goal against Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup.

He replaced Aaron Connolly for the last half-hour of the Carabao Cup defeat to Aston Villa and was back at the Amex two nights later to score twice for the under-23s as they beat Spurs 4-1.

Longman said after that game: “The new manager (Graham Potter) has given the youngsters a chance.”

DANNY CASHMAN

The Argus:

The former youth team skipper capped his debut under-23s season with the winning goal at Manchester City in 2018-19.

He had four goals and seven assists in 12 appearances during the season which has just finished and is a lively striker.

He also provided a fine finish in the 1-1 draw away to Leyton Orient's senior squad in the Leasings.com Trophy.
