OAKE Manor had the edge over neighbours Taunton & Pickeridge in the Somerset Junior League Knockout Cup final, which was played at Weston-super-Mare on Sunday.
Noah Jones beat Theo Lamey (1up) and Ben Thompson overcame Benjamin Newman (3&2) to secure a 2-1 win for Oake, with T&P captain Charlie Hooper beating his counterpart Callum Pinn 3&2.
Both teams showed great sportsmanship in what was a close contest in good conditions, well supported by their families and the clubs' junior organisers, together with Stewart Jones, the Junior League chairman, who presented the prizes.

Elsewhere this week, T&P honorary member Tom Sloman ended tied for fourth place in the 2020 Clutch Pro Golf Tour Championship that took place at Berkhamsted Golf Club.
The 23-year-old played well throughout his round but on the day didn’t have the rub of the green.
He got off to a flying start and birdied the first two holes, but then had to wait until the 17th to get his next birdie, so had to settle for joint fourth spot.
Sloman wins £1,100 from the final competition and ends the season in third place in the Clutch Tour Order of Merit, which earns him a place at Q School - worth £2,000.
