FOLLOWING on from their exciting victory in the Rachel Heyhoe Flinty 50 over Trophy match against South East Stars earlier this week, Western Storm are next in action at the Cooper Associates County Ground on Wednesday, May 22.

On this occasion they host Central Sparks in the Charlotte Edwards Cup Two competition starting at 2:30pm.

Following on from this, Western Storm are then at home to Sunrisers Friday, May 31, Storm in the Charlotte Edwards Cup competition starting at 3pm in a double header fixture that will be followed by Somerset against Essex in the Vitality Blast T20.

Western Storm are then next in Taunton on Monday, August 26, when they face Central Sparks in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy starting at 10:30am, whilst their final scheduled match is against Thunder on Saturday, September 7, in the same competition starting at 10:30 am.

Sophie Luff, who hails from Lympsham, and skippers Western Storm, is a real local.

She grew playing through the Somerset age groups and regularly played in the Lympsham team in the Somerset Cricket League alongside her brother Jack, and Dave - her Dad.

Since then Sophie has become totally involved with the development of women’s and girls cricket in Somerset .
