Both Avalon teams utilised home advantage on Sunday, as they both finished the day unbeaten.

The A team pulled off a relaxing home victory triumphing over their Cricket St Thomas counterparts by 4 games to 1.

The B team crunched a close game with The Mendip.

Having lost the away game recently, the B team managed to settle for a parity on their home ground against a tough visitor finishing at 2.5 games each.

Amidst a competitive environment, the Super Series Betterball Stableford on Saturday saw Ian Rogers and Barry Brindley take the win with 46 points.

The duo maintained a two-point lead over their nearest challengers, Gareth and Emma Davies, the husband and wife duo.

Tangled in a tie, Dave Bradley and John Cullinan secured third place, edging out Steve and Gail Mason after both pairs racked up a score of 42.

Due to the gusty wind on Sunday, just 38 points were required to bring home victory.

Topping the leaderboard with this same score were three competitors, Carl Ashley shone in both overall and in Division One.

In the second flight, Mel Brown edged out Dave Bradley, and Brian Hollyhead finished third, just one point adrift.

Ashley's immediate competitor in Division One was Jerry Brueford, finishing second with 37 points, while Craig Wheelaghan managed to take third place, hitting 34.

Tony Oliver wrapped up a noteworthy week at Brean Golf Club, having finished as runner up twice he altered his track and clinched the Vic Rowe Trophy by recording the best score in the Senior June Stableford.

The trophy was his as he amassed a whopping 45 points, with a gap of seven points from duo John Ham and Stewart Garrett.

Ham succeeded in securing the runners-up spot, leaving behind Garrett.

Two days later, the Brean Seniors journeyed up the Bristol Channel coast to Weston-super-Mare, Tim Amy led the victorious men to secure a 3.5 to 2.5 victory against their hosts in a closely contested game on the North Somerset links.
