Counties 4 Tribute Somerset South: Bridgwater & Albion Third XV 7-34 Burnham-on-Sea Seconds XV

Burnham on Sea made their mark in this match in the opening five minutes during which they scored two tries after which the hosts were always chasing the game.

The visitors dominated the opening stages of this match that kicked off early and ran with the ball from the off creating a gap which saw them score their opening try in the second minute of play and very soon after added a second to give themselves a 10-0 lead.

The Albion came back strongly and got themselves into the game creating a couple of scoring opportunities, neither of which sadly led to points.

In the 25th minute Burnham extended their lead with a further unconverted try making the score 15-0.

Straight afterwards Albion came back and scored a try when hooker Bradley Palmer burst out from the loose to surprise Burnham and dashed over which the trusty boot of Dan Page converted.

Just before the break the visitors who ran well with the ball throughout added a further try and conversion making it 22-7 at half time.

In the second half Burnham added a further two tries in the opening 20 minutes the first of which was converted.

The final quarter of the game was played out with both sides looking to create chances but there was no further score and the game ended Bridgwater & Albion Thirds 7 Burnham on Sea Seconds 34.

This coming Saturday all three of the Albion senior sides are in action the First XV are away at Gordon League, the Seconds are home to Tor while the Thirds travel away to play against Hornets.

On Sunday Bridgwater & Albion Ladies are at home to Trojans Women.
