Jake Ball has signed a contract extension to keep him at Somerset until at least the end of the 2027 season.
The 35-year-old fast bowler joined the club ahead of the 2024 campaign and has quickly become a key part of the team. He has played 59 matches in total, taking 97 wickets across all formats.
Mr Ball said: "I love playing for Somerset and the Vitality Blast win was definitely a career highlight for me.
"Since I joined the club, we’ve consistently competed on all three fronts and with the quality that we have in the squad, I’m sure that will continue in the years to come.
"I’ll keep giving everything I have in all formats to help Somerset win matches and I can’t wait to play my part both on and off the field next year and also in our push for this year’s County Championship."
He was a key member of Somerset’s Vitality Blast winning side in 2025, claiming two wickets in the final against Hampshire at Edgbaston.
Andy Hurry, Somerset’s director of cricket, said: "Jake is a leading presence both on and off the field, and his expertise and wealth of experience have been fundamental to the success we've enjoyed in recent years.
"He is a model professional who continues to make major contributions across all formats, exemplifying the standards and values we expect.
"He remains one of the cornerstones of our team and will play a crucial role in driving us forward throughout the rest of this campaign and into the future."
Mr Ball has also represented England in 24 matches during his career.
