Young gymnasts in Somerset have made their club proud with several wins at a competition.

The Monarchs Gymnastics Club, based in Highbridge, said its gymnasts brought home "lots of medals" after "an amazing time competing at the Honiton Invitational 2026."

Many of the club's young athletes placed in the top three positions in their categories.

These included Erin and Ava, and Madison and Mina, who both secured first-place titles.

Other duos and trios who placed in the top three across various categories included Seren, Ava, and Imogen; Erin and Jorgie; Regan and Ava; Amelia and Ellie-Mae; Edee and Carla; and Marnie and Raegan.

The club said: "We are so proud of every single one of our gymnasts.

"You all represented Monarchs brilliantly, showed fantastic teamwork and determination, and should be so proud of what you achieved."

The club also thanked the event organisers, coaches, and judges for their roles in the success of the event.

It said: "A huge thank you to the amazing team at Honiton Gymnastics for hosting such a fantastic competition and making the weekend so enjoyable for everyone.

"And finally, thank you to all the judges who volunteered their time over such a long weekend.

"Your time and commitment are greatly appreciated."
