RUGBY returns to Somerset this weekend after the festive break, and Burnham-on-Sea RFC face a crucial match at home to Crediton on Saturday.

Currently bottom of the Western Counties (W) table and four points adrift, Burnham need to make the most of their strength at home to beat fourth-bottom Crediton and start to reel in the sides above them.

Burnham have lost their last two matches and slipped to defeat in the reverse fixture against this weekend's opponents, losing 16-0 in mid-Devon in September.

Burnham 2nd XV, who are riding high in third in Somerset 2 South, travel to Chard 2nds on Saturday.

Chard are currently ninth in the table, and the reverse fixture on September 16 finished 82-5 to Burnham.
