VALE Taekwondo members produced a superb set of results at the English Championships.

Their return of 46 points from 16 competitors at the Guildford Spectrum is one of the Wantage-based club’s best students-to-points ratio.

Leading the way was Lilly Bunting, who won double gold and a bronze in the junior female colour belt patterns, sparring and special technique (flying kicks) divisions.

Also claiming multiple golds was Aisha Macey, who triumphed in her patterns and sparring colour belt divisions.

England international and Vale TKD instructor Carl Davis continued his four-year winning streak by claiming gold in the 3rd & 4th Degree Black belt patterns.

He also took silver in the 78kg sparring, dethroned by fellow student and England squad member Sean McIntyre, who came second in the 1st Degree Black belt pattern division.

Harrison Moore was another to claim gold, his coming in the -14 years green belt patterns. He picked up silver in the -14 years green belt sparring.

Charlie Molley, following on from his overall victory at the UK Championships, triumphed in the -10 years yellow belt pattern.

Maisie Bevan secured double silver in her patterns and sparring category, with Sami Grimes winning silver in -14 years red belt sparring and bronze in the flying kick division.

Benny Stoten took silver in -10 blue belt sparring, while there were bronze medals for Natasha Turner (-14 yellow belt patterns and sparring), Harry Bevan (-10 yellow belt sparring), Marin Krachunov (adult male green belt sparring) and Victoria Davis (adult female red belt patterns and sparring).
