SEDGEMOOR District Council has confirmed the winter opening times for their beaches.
A spokesperson said: "With the half term holidays now over, Sedgemoor’s beach safety staff will be changing to their winter schedules."
Burnham on Sea beach
The beaches at Burnham on Sea are accessible all year round. There is disabled access to the beach from the Esplanade and by the Pier.
Dogs are now allowed on all beaches except Beach 1, between the Jetty and the Pier. There are plenty of car-parking areas nearby.
Berrow Beach
The gate will be opened daily at 10am and closed at 3pm (excluding Christmas Day) to allow parking on the beach (tides permitting).
There will be beach safety staff on duty during these times.
There are 30 hardstanding car parking spaces when the beach gate is locked and also at the nature reserve car park allowing pedestrian access to the beach.
Brean Beach
The gate will be opened on Saturday and Sundays from 10am and closed at 3pm (tides permitting) to allow parking on the beach, and also on Monday, December 26, Tuesday, December 27 and Monday, January 2 2023 between 10am and 3pm.
There will be beach safety staff on duty during these times. There is alternative parking at Brean in the National Trust car park.
